At the core of this multi-use, new-build development in London is a 10,000-square-foot fitness haven—a gymnasium inspired by our previous successful collaboration with Soho Gyms in Camden. However, Revolution Bar transcends the ordinary, encapsulating a dynamic blend of health and leisure. In addition to the gym, the development houses a spa, a tanning salon, and two stylish residential units.
Our design vision came to life through the dramatic curved glass façade—a visual spectacle that has since become an iconic local landmark, inviting admiration and curiosity from passersby. The façade isn’t merely architectural; it’s a testament to our commitment to creating spaces that resonate with their surroundings.
Our collaboration with Soho Gyms on Revolution Bar stands as a testament to our commitment to visionary design, functional spaces, and an enduring impact on the urban landscape. Join us in celebrating this architectural triumph, where form meets function, and innovation harmonizes with the pulse of Clapham High Street.
Revolution Bar and Gym
Our architectural practice proudly undertook five exceptional projects for Soho Gyms, with the Revolution Bar standing out as a true landmark.
Featured in:
- Revolution Bar features in our publication 25 Projects, celebrating our first 25 years of practice from 1992 to 2017. Find out more and read the book on our website here.
- Our Gyms are also often feature in “Strictly Come Dancing” on the BBC as a training facility for the dancers on the show.
The project’s unique challenge was to weave various elements seamlessly into the fabric of Clapham High Street. The approved scheme expanded beyond the gym to include a sophisticated restaurant wine bar, a luxurious maisonette, and a spacious high-street shop. Together, these components formed a cohesive and vibrant addition to the local scene, marking the Revolution Bar as a true landmark.
