As we celebrate 10 years of father-daughter collaboration at ABL3 Architects, we’re reflecting on some of our most meaningful projects. First up: Salcombe Gin Distillery.

Salcombe has always been a home from home for both Rob and Tamsin, so designing a landmark project in this beautiful coastal town was a true privilege. Nestled within a conservation area, our challenge was to seamlessly blend contemporary design with the area’s rich heritage. Using natural stone walls and striking burnt timber, we crafted a space that is both timeless and innovative—perfectly reflecting ABL3’s design ethos.

Of course, the project wasn’t just about architecture. Over the past decade, we’ve also been happily sampling Salcombe’s finest gin, enjoying the terrace we envisioned together. A lasting reminder that great design isn’t just about buildings—it’s about the experiences they create.

Here’s to 10 years of collaboration, creativity, and a well-earned G&T.
