We are thrilled to announce the grand opening of Sheen Mount Primary School’s brand new Astro Turf Pitch! Last Friday marked a historic moment for the school community as they celebrated the culmination of hard work, dedication, and lots of fundraising.
ABL3 Architects have been the creative minds behind the design of this incredible all-weather pitch, ensuring it blends seamlessly with the school’s surroundings within the conservation area. Our expertise, combined with the support of Richmond Borough Council, has brought this vision to life, achieving Planning Consent to benefit the students and community.
And what better way to mark this momentous occasion than having the legendary Sir Mo Farah himself cutting the ribbon! His presence added an extra spark of excitement and inspiration to the event, reminding us all of the limitless possibilities that await on this new pitch. Thank you, Sir Mo, for being a part of the schools special day!
The reception from the staff, students, and parents has been overwhelming! We’ve already witnessed the joy and enthusiasm as students take to the pitch, honing their skills, and embracing the spirit of teamwork.
